LOTHIAN SUPPLY COMPANY HELPS BUSINESSES GET BACK TO WORK WITH AFFORDABLE HYGIENE SOLUTIONS
With Scotland poised to embark on Phase 1 of the route map out of lockdown, leading hospitality and cleaning supplies wholesaler, Lothian Supply Company (LSC), has launched a range of custom-fabricated floor and wall-mounted hand sanitising stations to help businesses get back to work.
Lack of availability, cost, and protecting the health and safety of its own employees, spurred the Livingston-based company to commission three stainless steel units starting at £36 ex VAT for a wall-mounted sanitiser holder:
Wall-mounted hand sanitiser holder, £36 ex VAT,
Wall-mounted hand sanitiser station with dispenser, £49 ex VAT,
Floor-mounted hand sanitiser holder, £85 ex VAT.
The stations complement the LSC’s range of PPE and sanitising products which includes face masks, disposable enviro-visors, gloves and aprons, signage and more. Starter bundles are available from £99 (wall-mounted holder) ex VAT.
Each bundle comes with:
Your choice of Sanitiser Station
1 x 500ml hand sanitiser
1 x Pack of gloves 100pk
1 x Pack of mask 50pk
2 x Social distance entrance signs
2 x Social distance floor signs
1 x Floor tape
Sarah Chanter, manager at LSC, said: “Safeguarding the welfare of our own workforce is what inspired us to create this range. That and providing an affordable and immediate solution for companies to help them create as safe an environment as possible for staff and customers in these challenging times.
“Hand sanitising units are in short supply, they’re also expensive, so we have had portable floor and wall-mounted stations made to spec that are around a third of the price of the competition and are available to order now. Our starter bundles also offer a choice of ‘off-the-shelf’ packages to meet individual business’s needs.”
A major supplier to the event, catering and hospitality sectors, LSC has felt the impact of Covid-19, diversifying its operation in response to the economic challenges.
Sarah added: “In in a typical year, moving into the summer season, we’d see a surge in demand for plastic glassware, napkins, disposable tableware and cutlery, as well as relying on ongoing sales of year-round best-sellers like gas, that market has completely vanished. PPE and cleaning supplies have always been core products, and that’s where sales have focused since the pandemic broke out in March.”
Established in 2002, initially as a supplier of CO2 to pubs and bars, Scottish/West-Lothian based Lothian Supply Company has grown to become one of the UK’s leading catering/event supply companies with a multi-million-pound turnover, employing over 20 people from its office in West Lothian, and a 15,000-product portfolio that spans cleaning products and catering equipment to glass and kitchenware.
