INVERARITY MORTON TO REPRESENT EXTON PARK IN SCOTLAND - First Sales North of the Border for English Sparkling Wine Producer

Inverarity Morton’s latest signing is English sparkling wine producer, Exton Park Vineyard, and Scotland’s leading independent wine merchant will be taking first shipments across the border in October.

Inverarity Morton will represent the Hampshire-based single-vineyard estate exclusively in Scotland to both the on and off trade markets, stocking three wines from Exton Park’s multi-award-winning range – crisp, refreshing Brut Reserve NV, fruit, easy drinking Blanc de Noirs NV and Rose NV with its pale pink colour and surprising depth of fruit.

Established in 2011, Exton Park is a 55-acre vineyard on the pure chalk soil slopes of Hampshire’s South Downs, planted with classic Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes.

Toby Sigouin, wine buyer at Inverarity Morton, said: “Exton Park’s sparkling wines have regularly outshone Grande Marque Champagnes in blind tastings, and have received very favourable reviews from many prominent wine writers and reviewers including Jancis Robinson MW.

“We have yet to see English wines enjoy the same growth in popularity in Scotland as they do down south but it’s merely down to the fact that consumers are largely unaware up here of the incredible wine that is now coming out of England. I am convinced that soon enough these bold producers will get the recognition they deserve.”
